In a move to progressive liberalisation of Foreign Direct investments in India, Government of India has announced various schemes for attracting NRI investments.

NRIs, PIO, can repatriate sale proceeds of immovable property

Recently, Reserve Bank of India has directed Banks and authorised dealers in Foreign exchange to allow repatriation of Sale of proceeds of immovable property in India acquired by non-resident Indians (NRIs) and persons of Indian origins(PIOs)
